Brooklyn Decker decks Jennifer Aniston in the fashion stakes with daring jumpsuit for German premiere of Just Go With It

By JODY THOMPSON

Fashion face-off: Brooklyn Decker wore a purple silk Max Mara jumpsuit with on-trend clashing red shoes for the German premiere of Just Go With It

At just 23 years old, she's almost two decades younger than her co-star - and Brooklyn Decker certainly showed more youthful fashion flair compared to Jennifer Aniston on the red carpet last night.

While the 42-year-old Friends star played it safe at the German premiere of their new movie Just Go With It in a classic LBD, Brooklyn took a chance with a more cutting-edge purple Max Mara jumpsuit that was slashed to the thigh.

The pair star alongside Adam Sandler, 44, with Jennifer playing a woman pretending to be plastic surgeon Sandler's soon-to-be-divorced wife rather than his actual assistant to cover up a lie told to his much-younger girlfriend, played by Decker.

Playing safe: Jennifer Aniston wore a short black dress with a ruffled skirt, lace back and shoulder detail

Earlier, the trio had taken a photocall at Berlin's Hotel Adlon to promote the movie, ahead of the full-blown premiere at the city's CineStar cinema last night - with Jen still in top-to-toe black.

The movie also stars Nicole Kidman and rockstar-turned actor Dave Matthews and opened in the UK on February 11.

In Germany however, the title is Meine Erfundene Frau - or My Imaginary Woman.

Threesy does it: Jennifer and Brooklyn with their co-star Adam Sandler at the Berlin premiere of the movie, called Meine Erfundene Frau in German

The Daily Mail's film reviewer Chris Tookey clearly wished that the film had just been imagined rather than a reality that he had to sit through.

Giving the effort zero stars, he wrote: 'A diabolical romcom in which the hero is a sexist plastic surgeon who preys on younger women and enjoys hitting small children' and says that Jennifer's talents are 'wasted' in the role.

Meanwhile, Ashton Kutcher, 33, has revealed that he's long been a fan of Jennifer's talents - and once asked Brad Pitt's permission to take her on a date.

Air kisses! Sandler found himself stuck between his co-stars as they greeted each other

Talking to Graham Norton on his BBC1 chat show on Friday night, Ashton explained he had bet a friend of his $1,000 when he was a teenager that one day, he would take the star out on a date.

He continued: 'I'm 17 years old and she's like on my screensaver on my computer and he's like. "You're on..."

'Four or five years later I actually meet Jennifer Aniston and she's married to Brad Pitt at the time. And so I went to Brad Pitt and I asked his permission to ask his wife out on a date.

'I said, "Listen, I made a bet with my buddy, you're a cool guy, you're gonna let this go down, right?" And he looked at me, he's like, "You go for it."

Poseable limbs: The former Friends star appeared to have come over all Barbie doll-esque as she goofed around at the film launch earlier in the day

Hollywood to Berlin: Co-stars Brooklyn Decker, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston have a group hug to promote their new movie earlier in the day

'And I'm like, "You're the coolest guy I've ever met in my life!" So I asked her and she turned me down... But now we're friends.'

Meanwhile, Jennifer might be hoping for a better reaction to her next forays on to the big screen.

Her next films include Horrible Bosses, which also stars Jason Bateman, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Donald Sutherland and Colin Farrell and is due out in July, and comedy Wanderlust, in which she stars with Paul Rudd and which opens in October.

No dice: Ashton Kutcher, seen here on his UK press trip last week to promote new movie No Strings Attached, said Brad Pitt once gave him permission to date Jen but she said no

Justin Bieber gets the best seats in the house as he cosies up next to Rihanna courtside at NBA All-Star game

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

NBA pals: Justin Bieber sat courtside with Rihanna at the NBA All-Star basketball game in Los Angeles while the Rude Boy singer wasn't performing in the stadium

Life couldn’t get much better for superstar Justin Bieber and this weekend proved no different as he sat courtside during an NBA All-Star basketball game next to Rihanna.

Having the best seats in the house meant the 16-year-old was able to throw the ball around with the players and sit side by side with Rihanna when she wasn’t performing at the event.

It wasn’t just an all-star game at Staples Center in Los Angeles, but it also marked the Rude Boy singer’s 23rd birthday, who put on a raunchy show at half time.

Celebrity guests: Beyonce Knowles (left) giggled as Chicago Bulls mascot Benny The Bull pats Bieber on the head... Lenny Kravitz wasn't as fascinated, looking bored as he checked his phone

After the R&B star cavorted on stage in a skimpy outfit though, she changed back into a more appropriate ensemble of trousers and a knit top to hang out with Bieber.

The pair giggled together as Justin showed Rihanna something funny on his phone and ate popcorn as they enjoyed the game.

Courtside: Justin Bieber threw the ball around as he sat in his front row seat to watch the game... Just days earlier he had received the MVP award while playing for the West team

The stars were watching the final event of the All-Star competition between the Eastern and Western Conference, with the West team winning with a score of 148-143.

Just a couple of days earlier, Bieber had also played as part of the West team, which was coached by Magic Johnshon, and the pint-sized singer managed to be named the Most Valuable Player.

Star-filled: The NBA All-Star game was attended by many celebrities including Beyonce, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber and Lenny Kravitz

The 5’5” Baby singer played alongside Rob Kardashian, Chuck star Zachary Levi, rapper Common, Modern Family actor Ty Burrell, actor Jason Alexander and rapper Lil’ Romeo.

His West team lost 49-54 to the East Conference side but was still honoured for scoring eight points.

Also at the game was superstar Beyonce, who was a classier guest and lit up with room with an incredible pair of Christian Louboutin shoes.

The singing sensation brought the glamour to the celebrity filled Los Angeles stadium donning a pair of sparkling seven-inched platform heels.

The famous red-bottom heels stood out as stars from all arenas converged on California for the fun-filled weekend.

Basketball fans: Beyonce arrived in her sparkling Christian Louboutin heels at the sports event, while Lenny Kravitz posed on the magenta carpet before watching the game

Beyonce was joined by her husband Jay-Z who kept his sunglasses on throughout the game.

They were seated in the front row next to teen heartthrob Bieber and rocker Lenny Kravitz.

Other celebrities who attended the final event of the All-Star weekend was John Legend and his model girlfriend Christine Teigen who was very animated during the game.

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was greeted by Kiss front man Gene Simmons.

And in a seating arrangement not to be seen very often - Arnie's wife Maria Shriver and her son Christopher Schwarzenegger watched the game sat next to gangster rapper Lil Wayne.

Duet: The Barbadian native was joined on stage by Kanye West and Drake who she has collaborated with in the past

Actor Dustin Hoffman and Aerosmith lead singer turned American Idol judge Steven Tyler was also in attendance.

Melanie Fiona - Sang the Canadian Anthem at the game, but the big performance of the event was Rihanna's, who marked her 23rd birthday with a provocative show that shocked the audience.

Rihanna wore a crystal-covered basque and fringed hotpants and accented the outfit with fishnet stockings to finish off her look.

She performed a medley of her hits to close out the annual basketball event.

This is not the first time Rihanna's over-sexed performances has drawn disapproval.

She caused controversy in the UK late last year when her performance on the hit reality show X Factor caused 4,500 people to complain to the television watchdog OFCOM.

Her performance was called 'disgusting' and is being investigated by authorities as to ascertain if it was too sexualised to be broadcast on a show with very young fans.

Great time: US rapper Lil Wayne sat and watched the game at Staples Center while John Legend and his girlfriend Christine Teigen had a fun time too

The Only Girl in the World singer was joined on stage at last night's basketball event by Kanye West who wore an all red outfit including shiny pants that were extra snug.

Canadian rapper Drake also took to the stage to perform his verse on Rihanna's hit song What's My Name?

Meanwhile, Eminem is set to join Bieber as one of only three people to reach a billion views on YouTube.

Although Bieber still remains YouTube’s top star with over 1.3billion views, Eminem has become the third person in history to achieve the milestone alongside Lady Gaga.

The Recovery star is just ahead of Rihanna, who is set to break the billion view milestone on YouTube within the next two weeks.

Sports fans: Black Eyed Peas rapper Taboo, and Twilight star Kellan Lutz attended, while Dustin Hoffman turned the tables on the photographers

You're on the wrong side of the camera! Hoffman gives Gabrielle Union and Lala Vazquez a giggle as he snaps away

Fans: Rapper Lil Wayne greeted Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Christopher and wife Maria Shriver

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger spent time talking to Kiss frontman Gene Simmons while Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery looked riveted by the on-court action

Back to bad: Rihanna smoulders in barely-there outfit for Kanye West's new video All Of The Lights

By ANDREA MAGRATH

Provocative: The 22-year-old's own lyrics and performances are so steamy she was ordered to tone it down during her Brit Awards appearance last week

For a brief moment it almost looked as though notoriously risqué Rihanna was about to tone down her increasingly provocative antics.

The singer, who was ordered to tone down her Brit Awards performance of her song S&M last week, made a demure - by her standards, anyway - instore appearance on Friday to launch her fragrance.

But true to form, the 22-year-old is back to her eyebrow-raising style in the just-released video for Kanye West's new single All Of The Lights.

Rihanna wears a black top in the cameo appearance which barely covers her breasts as she writhes and pouts for the camera.

The video for the single, from West's album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, was released yesterday with just one hour's prior notice.

Kid Cudi also appears as a cameo in the clip and the song features guest vocals by Alicia Keys, Fergi, John Legend, The-Dream and La Roux.

Colourful: Rapper Kanye West puts on a stellar performance in the bright video

The first minute of the video is a black and white scene of the camera following a little girl, before neon lyrics are flashed hyperactively across the screen - understood to be a homage to 2009 French film Enter the Void by Gaspar Noé.

The video is directed by Hype Williams, who has previously collaborated with 33-year-old West on the videos for Stronger, Can't Tell Me Nothing, Amazing and Diamonds From Sierra Leone.

Kanye and Rihanna are rumoured to be performing the single together at halftime at tonight's NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles.

Ensemble: The single also features guest vocals by Alicia Keys, Fergie, John Legend, La Roux and Kid Cudi

In another collaboration for the Bajan singer, Rihanna has just announced that Cee Lo Green will be joining her on the North American leg of her Loud tour.

The Forget You singer, who just picked up the Brit Award for International Male Solo Artist, said in a statement: 'I want to thank Rihanna for inviting me on our version of 50 First Dates, only difference is she's unforgettably fine. Don't tell her I have a crush on her, don't wanna mess everything up.

He continued: 'But honestly, it's an honour and a blessing to be able to go out with a talent such as hers. I look forward to doing my part to make the tour unforgettable for the fans that come out and see us.'

Good girl: Rihanna put in a demure - by her standards - appearance at an instore appearance on Friday to promote her perfume Reb'l Fleur at Macy's in Lakewood

Rihanna added: 'I'm a huge fan of Cee Lo since his days with Goodie Mob and with Gnarls Barkley.

'He's a musical genius, continually reinventing himself and I'm thrilled to have him join me on tour.'

Rihanna's Loud tour will arrive in Europe in September, kicking off in Belfast on the 28th.

The What's My Name hitmaker will play a staggering 53 dates before ending in Lisbon on December 17.

Jeff Brazier quashes Kerry Katona romance rumours... by going public with his secret nine-month relationship

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Commited: The father-of-two has been dating fashion buyer Claire Springett for nine months

Throughout this season of Dancing On Ice, speculation has been rife about a romance between Kerry Katona and Jeff Brazier.

But father-of-two Jeff has rubbished the rumours today by making a bombshell announcement - he has happily been in a relationship for nine months.

Jade Goody's ex has been dating fashion buyer Claire Springett secretly, but felt compelled to come clean about the romance 'out of respect' for his girlfriend after whispers of a flirtation between him and Kerry heated up.

Bombshell: Jeff Brazier has rubbished rumours he is romancing fellow Dancing On Ice contestant Kerry Katona by revealing he is in a relationship

The 31-year-old has revealed that the relationship with Claire, 33, is so serious that she has no moved into his Essex home with him and his boys.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Jeff says: 'For anyone to find their way into a relationship with me, the first thing I’m looking at is their compatibility with my kids.

'Claire has passed that test – and then some.'
Brazier has two sons - Bobby, seven, and Freddy, six, with reality star Jade Goody, who passed away after her battle with cervical cancer on Mother's Day 2009.

Family: Brazier says anyone he dates must get on well with his sons Bobby and Freddy, and that 'Claire has passed that test – and then some'

No romance: Jeff's revelation has poured cold water over rumours of a romance with Kerry Katona

Jeff tells the paper that he and Claire, who were introduced by her younger brother Andrew, intend to remain primarily out of the spotlight.

'Relationships can be tough at the best of times and it’s even harder in the public eye,' he said.

'I haven’t taken Claire to any public events because I realise I would be saying, "Here you are – here’s my girlfriend" and the questions would start.

Before he made the decision to talk openly about his new love, Jeff enjoyed a low-key relationship with the attractive blonde fashionista where they went to the movies with the boys and pub nights with mates.

Tragic: The boys' mother. Jade Goody, passed away in 2009 after a battle with cervical cancer

Exhausting: He says his hectic Dancing On Ice schedule has left him beat
And with his exhausting Dancing On Ice schedule, that's all he appears to be able to muster the energy for.

Brazier says that he often falls asleep during story time as he is putting the boys to bed, after spending all day in rehearsals with skating partner Isabella Gauthier.

'Being so tired all the time isn’t great, but it hasn’t really put too much strain on things at home,' he says.

'At least the skating is all done in school hours, and Claire is far too supportive a person for it to be a problem with her.'

Kerry Katona slammed for 'extinct' skating skills as she is voted off Dancing On Ice

By GEORGINA LITTLEJOHN

Emotional: Kerry Katona choked back tears as she thanked everyone on the show after she partner Dan Whiston were voted off Dancing On Ice tonight

She had already resigned herself that she would be leaving the show tonight.

And it would appear the writing was already on the wall for Kerry Katona after she was voted off Dancing On Ice tonight.

But despite her insistence that it was 'only a TV show', the reality star choked back tears as she said her goodbyes.

Not enough: Kerry and Daniel were voted off after performing a routine to the Pussycat Dolls song Hush Hush

Wiping her eyes, she told host Phillip Schofield: 'It's been more than a skating competition. I want to thank the public for voting, my kids are proud, massive thank you for Daniel for his patience.'

Kerry's partner Dan Whiston then praised her and said: 'It's been a journey, Kerry's been a brilliant friend and to me, Kerry's my winner.'

Kerry and Dan faced Jeff Brazier and his partner Isabelle Gauthier, and re-performed their routine to the Pussycat Dolls song Hush Hush.

But it wasn't enough to keep them in, although the outcome to some seemed almost predictable after the scathing comments the pair received after their first time on the ice tonight.

After being given a score of just nine - their lowest on the show - Kerry tried to put on a brave face and joked about having already booked a holiday and said: 'It's only a TV show and I'm having a great time.'

But judge Emma Bunton told her: 'I was quite surprised that you were so relaxed. After being in the bottom, in your head you're already on that plane.'

Lowest score: The judges only gave Kerry and Dan nine points

Robin Cousins added: 'It's been a tough struggle for you which you you have admitted, but it feels like the past couple of weeks you've given in to that'
But the most scathing comments came courtesy of Kerry's biggest critic Jason Gardiner, who, true to form, didn't hold back.

He said: 'What tonight proves, Kerry, is that, unequivocally, your skating ability is on the endangered species list because it's virtually extinct.

In unison: Chloe Madeley and Michael Zenezini were awarded 18.5 by the judges, who said she needed to show more 'personality'

'You've given up on yourself and that's a shame. You've been skating for three months and I have to question what you've been doing all this time.'

This week not only proved to be a tough one for Kerry, but for all the contestant as they were underwent the ultimate skills test with performers having to include three skills - a step, a jump and a spin.

As usual, the skaters' mentors Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean opened the show, performing an elegant routine as Rumer sang Burt Bacharach's What The World Needs Now.

That's our girl! Judy Finnegan and Richard Madeley cheer on their daughter Chloe

The first celebrity up was Chloe Madeley and her partner Michael Zenezini, who both glittered in their black sparkly outfits.

Cheered by her famous parents Judy Finnegan and Richard Madeley, they performed to the Annie Lennox song Little Bird and received a score of 18.5.

Emma Bunton praised her for not shying away from 'difficulty in routines' and said she was pleased to see her push it every week.

Improvement: Johnson Beharry was told that he had 'upped his ante' this week

Jason Gardiner said their steps sequence was 'in unison' but added that he wanted Chloe to come back with 'personality'.

Johnson Beharry VC and his partner Jodeyne Higgins, who narrowly avoided being in the skate-off, were up next, skating to She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5.

But they only managed a score of 14.5, although the judges were in agreement that Johnson was improving each week.

Top of the table: Laura Hamilton and Colin Ratushniak impressed the judges yet again this week with their flawless performance

Impressed: All three judges gave Laura and Colin 8.5 which took them to the top of the leaderboard

Gardiner told him that he was 'upping your ante', while Cousins said: 'It's been a slow and methodical process and if that's how you work then it is paying off.'

The golden couple, who can do no wrong in everyone's eyes were up next and Laura Hamilton and Colin Ratusniak showed no signs of slipping as they topped the leaderboard once again with an impressive performance to Stop by Sam Brown, which earned them a score of 25.5.

Bunton told Laura: 'I wanted you to relax and could feel those nerves but you are an unbelievable performer', while Gardiner added: 'I'm a huge fan and tonight is no exception. You just seemed to flow through all of it.'

Messy: Jason Gardiner told Jeff Brazier and Isabelle Gauthier their routine was displaced

Jeff Brazier and his partner Isabelle Gauthier, who avoided being sent home this evening, scored 16 after a routine to Cee Lo Green's Forget You.

Bunton told them: 'If you keep working this hard you will make this competition very interesting.'

Gardiner added: 'There's no question you have improved, however, you were putting in a lot of effort but it was very messy, it was sort of displaced.'

Serene: All three judges told Denise Welch and Matt Evers that their routine had a 'natural calmness'

Actress Denise Welch - whose fans in the audience included her husband Tim Healy and her fellow Loose Woman Colleen Nolan - was up next with partner Matt Evers, as they performed a routine to Cyndi Lauper's True Colours.

Receiving 16.5, the couple's highest score, she said: 'I'm totally gobsmacked by that. Absolutely thrilled to get those scores.'

And Gardiner added: 'I am incredibly proud of you, tonight it is about what you can do and what you have proven and what you have done is quality over quantity, you did exactly what was required.'

Come on, Denise! Welch's fanbase - including (L-R) Keith Lemon, Colleen Nolan and Denise's husband Tim Healy, cheered her on from the audience

Then it was the moment that left the audience, judges and viewers with their hearts in their mouths as Sam Attwater and Brianne Delcourt came on to perform the Headbanger move as part of their routine.

The move, which requires the male partner to spin his female around and around just above the ice, had never been performed by a non-professional skater on the show.

But Sam held his nerve as the pair pulled it off flawlessly, earning them a 24.5 score, and Bunton telling him she couldn't' believe she was 'seeing somebody who is not a professional'.

One wrong move: Sam concentrated hard as he spun Brianne fast in the air round the ice

After Kerry and Dan performed next, the show was warpped up by Vanilla Ice and his partner Katie Stainsby, who performed to his number one song, Ice Ice Baby.

They received 22.5, their highest score so far, which Cousins said was the 'best overall performance of the night and a great way to finish off the show'.

Graffiti artist: Katie Stainsby sprayed Ice on the rapper's jacket before they took to the rink

Ice ice baby, too cold: Despite his initial misgivings, Vanilla Ice looked as though he really enjoyed performing to his own song

X Factor finalists step out for the first night of their tour... and guess who's stealing the spotlight again

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Standing out: Cher Lloyd leaves her Birmingham hotel ahead of tonight's X Factor tour opening night

She may not have the best voice of the competition and didn't even make it to the grand finale of the series.

But the X Factor contestant who has undoubtedly stolen the spotlight since the season ended before Christmas is 17-year-old Cher Lloyd.

And the teen ensured she will remain in the headlines today by stepping out ahead of tonight's X Factor tour opening night looking perfectly turned out.

The Worcestershire singer dyed her brunette hair flame red and had it styled into a bouffant crop earlier this month during rehearsals for the arena tour.

The new look - a copycat style of trendsetter Rihanna - came after she jetted back into town from Los Angeles.

Red hot: Rebecca Ferguson's trousers matched her fellow finalist's hair but were no match for stealing the spotlight

Cher is the only contestant to have laid down tracks for a new album, under Simon Cowell's label Syco, which is already on pre-sale for an August release with Amazon.

The teen wore a conservative beige blazer over rust red trousers and a silk print scarf and boots.

Casual: Winner Matt Cardle and controversial contestant Katie Waissel dressed down to head to the Birmingham LG Arena

Her transformation is a departure from her usual urban style of trackpants and baggy jumpers.

Even Rebecca Ferguson bright tomato red trousers couldn't steal the spotlight from headline-grabbing Cher.

The 24-year-old mother was typically elegant in a Chanel-style tweed jacket and heels.

Winner Matt Cardle was far more casual as the group left their hotel, in a zip-up jumper and trainers.

Fan favourites: One Direction's Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson looked confident ahead of tonight's show

He appeared to be taking every precaution necessary to ensure he is fighting fit for the tour, which ends in Cardiff on April 10.

He clutched a packet of Berocca tablets and a bottle of water.

The One Direction boys and controversial contestant Katie Waissel were also casual for the ride to the arena.

Mary Bryne, Paije Richardson and Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho will also take to the stage tonight to kick off the tour.

The X Factor (Part 4)

Well done gang: Simon Cowell high-fived Ryan from F.Y.D as he is joined by his final three groups

With two girl groups to choose from, Cowell selected Belle Amie, the foursome put together after they auditioned as solo artists.

'You were too good to let go,' he explained. 'The disadvantage was that you were competing with a lot of groups who had longer to prepare themselves.'

But it was a yes, and the four ran off screaming with delight, mobbing a happy Dermot O'Leary as they gasped; 'We did it!'

Handpicked: Simon Coewll selected Belle Amie for the final 12, having put them together during the audition process

Cowell's boys: Like the girls, 1Direction is made up of five failed solo singers

That meant it was bad news for Husstle. 'I'm really really sorry,' said Cowell, as they broke down in tears.

Princes and Rogues also got a no. The five men aged from 20 to 28, were sent off, along with The Reason.

Cowelll told them: 'It's a very hard song to sing and I think it showed up a few weak spots. It's bad news boys.'

Not for Cowell: He said they'd both grown on him, but it was a no for both Twem and Diva fever

But 1Direction got a yes.

'When it worked, it worked,' said Cowell. 'My head is saying it's a risk and my heart is saying that you deserve a shot and that's why it's been difficult.

'I've gone with my heart, you're through. I am so impressed with all of you, I mean it.'

That left FYD, who wanted to prove they could sing as well as dance.
'We wanna be all-round entertainers,' they said.

They've done it! FYD (For Your Direction) met through dance classes at London¿s Pineapple Studios and the band was formed over Facebook messages

Cowell was impressed: 'I thought vocally it wasn't perfect, but it was better than I've heard before.

'It has been genuinely one of the hardest things that I've had to judge. So I've mad a decision about you five, Welcome to the top 12.'

And that left Parisian twins Medhi and Samir, who go by the name Twem and comedy act Diva Fever, who both got a no.

*** Meet the final 12 ***

Girls (aged 16-27) mentored by Cheryl Cole: Rebecca, Katie and Cher

Cher Lloyd, 17 (6/1 to win)
Dubbed mini-me by fans for her similarities to mentor Cheryl Cole, and named after the singing superstar, she has been touted as a potential winner.

Katie Waissel, 24 (20/1)
The receptionist from London is getting a bit of a reputation as someone desperate to be famous - she has already appeared on a online reality show.

Rebecca Ferguson, 24 (4/1)
The mother of two from Liverpool impressed judges when she told how she had returned to school to study law to provide a better life for her children now aged five and four.

The groups, with mentor Simon Cowell: 1 Direction, Belle Amie and F.Y.D

FYD (For Your Direction) (25/1)
Who They Are: Jordan Gabriel, 22, Alex Murdoch, 22, Matt Newton, 26, Ryan Lee Seager, 22, and Kalvin Lamey, 25.
The Verdict: A collection of models and dancers they already have sizeable egos. The group met through dance classes at London’s Pineapple Studios and the band was formed over Facebook messages.

Belle Amie (16/1)
Who They Are: Esther Campbell, 17, Sophia Wardman, 23, Geneva Lane, 20 and Rebecca Creighton, 21.
The Verdict: All four entered as solo artists but were not strong enough candidates on their own. Simon Cowell opted to put them together as a group.

1 Direction (9/2)
Who They Are: Niall Horan, 17. Harry Stiles, 16, Zain Malik, 17, Liam Payne, 17 and Louis Tomlinson, 18.
The Verdict: Effectively a group of Justin Bieber type singers this group is set to be a favourite with X Factor fans.

Boys (16-27) ¿ mentored by Dannii Minogue: Aidan, Matt and Nicolo

Aiden Grimshaw, 18 (8/1)
From: Manchester
The Verdict: A former child actor and wedding singer he has been tipped for the finals since his first audition. A little bland but that probably makes him a perfect candidate to be moulded by The X Factor sausage factory.

Matt Cardle, 27 (11/4)
From: Essex
The Verdict: Bookmakers have the painter and decorator as one of their favourites to win. He already has a part time band Seven Summers and brings a bit of rock and roll to the show.

Nicolo Festa, 22 (16/1)
From: Italy
English is not his first language but the handsome student claims being a singer is his destiny. Incredibly confident but not without talent he is definitely going to irritate with his self belief.

The Over 28s mentored by Louis Walsh: John, Mary and Storm

John Adeleye, 30 (14/1)
Sure to be a housewives favourite he is a self taught singer with bags of charm. He works in a care home in London and runs music activities for residents. He has admitted this is probably his last chance to hit the big time. Probably the nicest contestant The X Factor has seen yet - so he’ll almost certainly be voted off early.

Mary Byrne, 50 (20/1)
From: Dublin
The Verdict: Hailed as the new Susan Boyle this dowdy supermarket worker has waited more than thirty years to follow her dream. Expect a similar SuBo style makeover as the competition progresses.

Storm Lee, 37 (16/1)
Edinburgh-born Lee Gardner he changed his name when he was 16 and moved to the US. He released an electropop album in 2008 called Soulfillapopkilla and two singles, I Came Here To Dance and 1985. He’s recording backing vocals for stars including Meatloaf and Ozzy Osbourne, but now wants to be the main star but with his strange look and aggressive attitude it is unlikely viewers will make him one.
