Axed: Former X Factor contestant Treyc Cohen performs in Warrington during the town's Christmas lights switch-on

She was controversially axed from the X Factor in favour of Katie Waissel earlier this month.

And now Treyc Cohen has been dealt a further blow - after she was dumped from the show's spin-off tour.

Former contestant Aiden Grimshaw, however - who was axed a week after Treyc - WILL be included in the tour line-up.

And not only will the snub make a huge dent in Treyc's pride - it will leave the 26-year-old thousands of pounds out of pocket.

Last year the top eight contestants went on a 57-date tour, netting around £100,000 each.

Treyc, from Tamworth in Staffordshire, last night performed in front of thousands in Warrington, Cheshire, as she switched the town's Christmas lights on.

Snub: Treyc will not appear on the X Factor tour

But after being left out of the best-selling tour, she now faces the prospect of slipping into a life of obscurity.

More than 2,000 viewers complained when Treyc was voted out of the show on November 7 after finishing in the bottom two with Katie.

She was shown the door despite singing an excellent rendition of Toni Braxton's Unbreak My Heart in the sing-off, after Cheryl Cole refused to vote.

Former contestant Aiden, however, who was voted out of the show on November 14 will get the opportunity to bask in the limelight.

A show insider said bosses had been expecting to take ten acts on tour, but now it will be just nine - meaning Aiden scrapes in, but Treyc is left out in the cold.
