EastEnders star Lacey Turner raises the roof on her BMW convertible

Home decorating: Lacey Turner bought herself an antique chair at a furniture store in North London today

It's not the kind of car her character Stacey Slater would be likely to be seen in... but EastEnders actress Lacey Turner can afford to flash the cash these days

No doubt she bought her flashy BMW as a trophy of her success, but today Lacey also discovered it comes in handy for a few practical matters too.

The EastEnders actress put the retractable roof to good use after buying a rather large antique chair from a furniture store in North London.

After failing to squeeze the wooden seat in through the passenger door, she instead just pulled back the top and strapped it in the back seat with the help of a salesman. She had earlier been on set of the popular soap after a short break away.

Lacey, 21, has found herself a huge focal point in the show after being unveiled as Archie Mitchell's killer.

Her character Stacey also watched her husband Bradley (Charlie Clements) fall to his death from the roof of the Queen Vic in last month's live episode.

She is set to star in a two-hander episode this Friday, which features an intense half-hour exchange between herself and Bradley's father Max (Jake Wood).

Tight squeeze: Lacey and the salesman tried to get the seat in through the passenger door...

...but decided instead just to put the roof down

Max wants to get his late son's named cleared over the death of Archie (Larry Lamb).
The pair, who have had an on-screen affair in the past, are expected to have a huge fight after he tracks her down to a grotty bedsit.

When asked how her character, who is also pregnant, will cope with life after Bradley, Stacey has said: 'I think every time she looks at the baby it's going to bring back memories of her and Bradley so she may struggle in that sense.

'But overall, I think she'll cope. I'm sure she will because she's quite a strong character.'
