She swears by a macrobiotic diet and an intensive gym regime.

But Madonna appeared to have fallen off the wagon when she was pictured in France, apparently holding a cigarette and a lighter.

The Material Girl used to be a smoker in her younger days, but has adopted an anti-cigarette stance in recent years.

And with her head tilted back and eyes closed, she gave a convincing impression of a smoker getting a long-awaited nicotine hit.

But a spokesman for the star insisted that Madonna was merely holding a prop cigarette for one of the actors on the set of her latest film.

The 51-year-old is in Cannes directing W.E. – a dramatisation of the love affair between King Edward VIII and American divorcée Wallis Simpson, which resulted in the King’s abdication in 1936.

Mrs Simpson is played by Andrea Riseborough, best known for her portrayal of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in BBC4 drama The Long Walk To Finchley, while James D’Arcy plays the conflicted King.

With a swimming pool, sunbathing deck, gaming area and two helipads, the 115 metre boat is the largest expedition yacht in the world.

Madonna is a guest of Chelsea Football Club owner Mr Abramovich, who only collected the Luna two months ago. He also recently bought the £300million super yacht Eclipse – complete with missile-detection system, two helipads, luxury spa, swimming pool and miniature submarine.

As sexy secretary Joan Holloway on Mad Men, Christina Hendricks' curvy figure has driven many men to distraction.

But it appears even when the actress is covered up, she is still able to reduce men to a quivering wreck.

Los Angeles news anchor Brian McFayden found himself lost for words when the redhead made a throwaway comment about the bath.

The Tennessee-born beauty, 35, was appearing on breakfast show KTLA to promote the new season of Mad Men, which started in the U.S. last weekend.

Starting the interview, McFayden brought up Hendricks' recent Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

As the nomination is her first ever Emmy nod, McFayden asked her to relive the moment she learned she was up for an award at the September ceremony.

She said: 'I had to be at work really, really early that morning and I was running my bath. I had everything timed out to get every last minute of sleep because it was 5.30 in the morning.'

She went on to explain how her publicist phoned her to inform her she had received a nomination and how 'pleasantly surprised' she was.

After one of his co-hosts mentioned the male and female response to Hendricks' famous curves, MacFayden said: 'I was just gonna say that... I wasn't gonna be like, "Oh, I'm hitting on you," but you've got an amazing body.'

After she accused him of flirting with the previous guest, he continued: 'I'm saying you're a beautiful woman and I would like... the bath... the way you made... I mean, I'm stumbling on my words... what I'm trying to say, is you were drawing a bath, you're making a bath for yourself and I was just thinking... wow, that's just awesome.'

Hendricks left him further embarrassed when she said: 'That was two conversations ago, but thank you for remembering.'

When one of his female co-hosts jumped in and asked her if she felt a lot of pressure being a sex symbol, he interjected: 'That was what I was trying to say.'
Last week, Hendricks's presence on another TV show got a female presenter all flustered.

The actress, 31 has reportedly started a new relationship with actor/ director Alex Beh, 27.

'She's so into him. It's relatively new,' a source told Us Weekly magazine.

'But they're really cute together. They were holding hands the whole night!'

And it seems the new relationship is making Jennifer happy. On a shopping trip this week, she couldn't stop smiling.

After buying herself a new pair of boots and some tops at upmarket Beverly Hills boutique, Theodore, she headed for a luxurious lunch at celeb hotspot, Boa Steakhouse.

Dressed casually in classic blue jeans and a khaki jacket with a big scarf and heels to finish the look, Jennifer looked slim and chic.

Having recently updated her look with a blunt-cut fringe, she seemed in great spirits.

Oddly enough, Bruce and Demi's eldest girl Rumer hadn't just finished her 'nine-to-five' but was attending the Darker Side Of Green event at the Bowery Hotel in the Big Apple.

Rumer has followed in the footsteps of her superstar parents and become an actress, first appearing alongside her mum Demi Moore in Now And Then in 1995 when she was just seven.

In her next project she will appear with Kristin Cavallari of The Hills in an independent film called Wild Cherry, which will be released later this year.

Rumer has also been signed on to star in the film Walks starring Lucas Haas, Brittany Snow, Emmanuelle Chirqui and Jessica Szohr.

And she is among a host of celebrities set to make a cameo appearance on the upcoming season of the hit CW show 90210.

Also at the event was Smallville and Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg, Liev Schreiber, Ewan McGregor and the night was hosted by Tracy Morgan.

But none of them appeared to have just turned up from the office.

But now Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has turned her hand to acting.

The 42-year-old Italian born model shot her cameo role in new Woody Allen film Midnight In Paris this morning.

Bruni-Sarkozy, who is married to French president Nicholas Sarkozy, filmed her scenes in the comedy alongside Owen Wilson on a busy Parisian street near the Pantheon.

Despite sporting a low key casual outfit of white blouse and jeans, Carla looked stunning with minimal makeup and her hair swept back.

‘Carla and Woody got along incredibly well on the set,’ a source told People.com.

‘They talked constantly and laughed quite a lot between takes. Owen as well.’
The model’s first day involved five hours of shooting with several takes of the same scene.

Bruni-Sarkozy will play the director of a Paris museum with Cotillard starring as her subordinate.

‘Carla has a tiny role in the film,’ a source close to her told the website. ‘In any case, she won't be stealing the spotlight from the other actors.’

Bruni-Sarkozy has said she accepted the role in order to work with Allen.

‘I go into everything blindly, or I'd never do anything at all,’ she told French TV network Canal Plus back in November.

‘I am not an actress at all. Maybe I'll be completely hopeless, but I can't miss an opportunity like this one in my life. When I'm a grandmother, I'd like to be able to say I made a film with Woody Allen.’

She is expected to do another half-day of shooting with Cotillard before joining her husband on holiday.

And the 27-year-old's professional pout and glammed up look was a far cry from her fresh-faced smile the previous evening, as she walked through LAX airport with her new husband.

The couple looked tanned and happy as they jetted into Los Angeles International Airport, and couldn't stop smiling as they strolled through arrivals.

Orlando, 33, and his new bride are believed to have spent nights in Anguilla, the exclusive island of Mustique and St Lucia.

It is believed that none of their family members were present.

Their sudden wedding sparked speculation that the model is three months' pregnant, the rumours fuelled by the quickie nuptials along with Miranda’s cancellation of her role in an upcoming fashion show.

But well known Australian columnist Jonathan Moran insisted that Kerr has told family, friends and business associates that she and Bloom, 33, are expecting.

Kerr also told a Sydney newspaper earlier this month: ‘I have always been very open about wanting to be a mother one day. And I’ve always thought Orlando would be a great dad.’

'I've always wanted kids, so someday, eventually, yes, it will happen.
'My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and a vegetable patch.

'When this is all over, that's where I'll be.'

But today, Miranda's spokeswoman said as far as she was aware, the pregnancy reports were just 'rumour and speculation'.

Orlando has also won over his in-laws with Miranda's mother Therese telling People.com: 'They truly are a gorgeous couple, are very much in love and bring out the best in each other.

Miranda's grandmother Ann spoke of her delight when she found out they had got engaged and added: ‘We are so happy for her, they are well suited and the family is delighted for them.

‘They are good together. They laugh and giggle. When we are all together I watch them and see that he’s very attentive to Miranda.’

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, 33, quietly began dating Miranda, 27, in 2007.
They briefly separated in 2008, according to sources at the time, but quickly reconciled.
