Daisy Lowe takes inspiration from her name as she steps out wearing floral dress

Daisy by name, daisy by nature: Daisy Lowe wears a sheer flowered dress as she arrive at the Acne London Studio fashion store launch in London

She's one of the most famous models in Britain.

And Daisy Lowe showed exactly how she has earned her fashion icon status as she stepped out wearing a sheer dress embellished with her favourite flower - the daisy.

The 21-year-old model was at the opening of the Acne London Studio fashion store when she decided to show off her figure in the 70s-style dress.

However, instead of teaming the gown with some dainty shoes, Daisy decided to go for a pair of hefty black biker boots which did little to flatter the outfit.

She posed with close friend Jamie Winstone at the event, who also looked chic in a white minidress and black shoe boots.

Daisy has always been proud of the fact she is a curvier type of supermodel, and always dresses for her figure.

She said recently: 'I love women with bigger bottoms and larger thighs. I think it’s so sexy.

'I’m not big in any way, but I do have a womanly shape rather than the normal model size, and so, of course, I’m extremely conscious of it.'

Earlier in the week Daisy was spotted out and about in London with her boyfriend, Doctor Who star Matt Smith.

Wearing a pretty pale blue tea dress from her mother Pearl's range for high street store Peacocks, Daisy looked happy and in love as she walked along hand-in-hand with Matt.
