Rock 'n' royal: Prince Harry gets acquainted with hellraiser Ronnie Wood at the polo

By Mail Online Reporter

Horsing around: Prince Harry chats to Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood at the Asprey World Class Polo at Hurtwood Polo Club in Surrey yesterday

One's famous for being a hellraising rock 'n' roller, while the other's known for being one of the more rebellious royals.

Despite coming from very different worlds, perhaps Prince Harry and Ronnie Wood had plenty to talk about thanks to their reputations for being naughty.

In between the Prince's games at the Asprey World Class Polo match in Surrey yesterday, the two men crossed the generation gap to share a joke together

Giddy up: Prince Harry plays polo... but his team lost to Belstat

While the 25-year-old royal was playing polo to raise money for his charity Sentebale, the Rolling Stone, 63, was strictly a guest, enjoying the matches and food on offer.

Dressed in a bright coloured shirt and stripy jacket, the rocker kept close to his Brazilian polo coach girlfriend Ana Araujo, 30.

After mingling with the young royal, Wood headed for the fish stand in the dining area and kept his celebrity friends entertained by toying with one of the dead creatures on ice.

Also in attendance was Prince Albert of Monaco and his fiancée Charlene Wittstock, comedienne Ruby Wax, author Kathy Lette and glamour model Katie Price.

The mother-of-three took time out of promoting her new single Free To Love Again to show off her burgeoning polo skills at the Ewhurst ground.

Although more experienced in dressage, Price is expanding her equestrian skills to include polo.

Although famously banned from the Cartier Polo International two years ago, Ms Price was definitely welcome yesterday.

As expected, she brought extra flair to the field with her bright blue shirt and pink riding boots.

Meanwhile, at the Duke Of Essex Polo Cup...

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of London, celebrities including Pixie Lott and Penny Lancaster gathered in Essex for the Duke Of Essex Polo Cup.

Pop star Lott, 19, who grew up in nearby Brentwood, showed off her legs in a black shift dress and platform Mary Janes.

Another Essex local was Rod Stewart's third wife Lancaster, who showed off her legs in a bottom-skimming multi-coloured jersey dress.

Also in attendance was TV presenter Liz McClarnon, chef Aldo Zilli and model Jo Emma Larvin.

Extending his 15 minutes of fame was Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed, who arrived with a mystery blonde companion.
