Special day: Brian McFadden took his two daughters to a church in Dublin today for their First Holy Communion
She's criticised his parenting skills and claimed he only speaks to their girls five times a year.
But after flying halfway round the world from his Australia base, Brian McFadden was in Dublin today to take his and Kerry Katona's two daughters to their First Holy Communion.
Molly, eight, and Lilly-Sue, seven, wore white dresses for the Catholic ceremony - but their mother Kerry, 29, was back in her Warrington home town for her brother's wedding.
It seems relations are still so strained between Kerry and ex-husband Brian that they couldn't even arrive upon a date when both would be free to go to the event together
The pair recently came to blows again after Kerry branded him a poor father who hardly made contact with his daughters.
A livid Brian, 30, responded by calling her a 'pig-faced mole' in a Twitter rant, before saying she lived in a 'fantasy world'.
Doting dad: The former Westlife singer had flown from his home in Australia for the event, but his ex--wife Kerry did not attend
Transformed: Kerry was in Warrington to attend her brothers wedding, seen right dressed to kill in red and, right, on her way to the hairdressers earlier on
The former Westlife singer, who lives in Australia with his soap star turned pop singer fiancée Delta Goodrem, defended himself, insisting he speaks to Molly and Lilly-Sue twice a week.
Mother of four Kerry was pictured early this morning leaving her mother's Warrington home.
The pair went to the hairdressers and later Kerry emerged from the house dressed to kill in a short red dress and platform sandals.
On form: The former Atomic Kitten singer was seen laughing and joking with her family and other guests
Bad stain: But her dress revealed the tattoo on her back bearing her estranged husband Mark Croft's name, which she is in the process of having removed
But the panel cut out of the back of the outfit revealed the tattoo that spreads from the nape of her neck downwards, bearing the name of her estranged husband Mark Croft.
She is currently undergoing laser surgery to remove the marking after splitting with the former cab driver back in February.
The procedure involves several treatments - but his name did appear to be fading after she started treatment last month.
Kerry looked in good spirits today, and was pictured laughing and joking with her family and other guests as she arrived at the wedding ceremony.
Legs on show: Kerry brought her other two children along from her marriage to Croft, two-year-old Heidi and Max, aged one
Mingling: The former I'm A Celebrity winner and ex-husband McFadden have had numerous public spats since their split in 2004
She brought along her children from her marriage to Croft, two-year-old Heidi and one-year-old Max.
The former I'm A Celebrity winner is currently trying to overhaul her image and has moved down south to leafy Godstone in Surrey.
Peter Andre's management team, Can Associates, are now masterminding her career.
Last year her life was left in tatters when she was sacked from her six-figure deal with supermarket Iceland after pictures were published of her snorting cocaine.
Helping hand: Earlier on Kerry and mother Sue went to the hairdressers in preparation for the event
