Happy and relaxed: Hugh Grant grins as he is met by Liz Hurley's son Damian and a minder at Nice airport
They may have split over 10 years ago, but Liz Hurley and Hugh Grant remain the best of friends.
In fact, the pair are so close that Grant flew out to the South of France today to spend time with Hurley and her husband Arun Nayar - and was met by Hurley's eight-year-old son Damian and a minder at Nice airport.
Damian, who looked delighted to have his Uncle Hugh in France, skipped along and held the actor's hand as they headed to Elton John's villa where the family are currently staying.
And Grant, who has been largely out of the public eye since starring in last year's film Did You Hear About The Morgans? with Sarah Jessica Parker, also appeared thrilled about the prospect of spending time in the sunshine with friends.
It's not the first time Grant has gone on holiday with Hurley and Nayar, having previously travelled with them to the Seychelles.
Speaking recently about her former relationship and close friendhsip with Grant, Hurley said: 'Sometimes Hugh and I can get morbid and say we could have had five children by now because we were together since we were 21 but there was never a time when either of us wanted it.
'Women flock to Hugh. He's like Austin Powers. Everyone worships him.'

Grant and Hurley met in 1987 on the set of Spanish production Remando Al Viento and quickly started dating.
They continued their relationship until 2000 when they announced their 'amicable' split after 13 years together.
Grant's arrival is likely to help distract Hurley, who has been tweeting her fans almost constantly during her time in St Tropez.
Hurley, who also enjoyed a holiday in Spain at the beginning of the month, began her tweeting by telling her 14,006 followers on Sunday morning: 'Woken up to sunshine and lots of my best friends. Watching them eat pain au chocolat. Me drinking hot water. Yes, water.'
Since then she has frequently updated her Twitter page with details of her holiday plans, particularly the books she has been reading.

She later wrote: 'Reading Furious Love,Richard Burton/Elizabeth Taylor love story-so glamorous & sexy. Didn't realise it was initially viewed as so scandalous.'
And later still: 'Just starting new Tess Gerritson I seized at the airport. 2nd fave thriller writer after the gorgeous Harlan Coben. Loving it so far.'
However, despite clearly being keen to fill her days by using her phone to tweet, Hurley was photographed looking more relaxed than ever as she enjoyed a stroll in the sunshine.

Wearing a pretty white sundress and sunglasses and holding a clutch bag despite going barefoot, Hurley smiled for photographers as she arrived at the world-famous Club 55 in St Tropez.
She later wrote on Twitter: 'V nice lunch at Hotel du Cap-what a lot of memories from many insane stays during the festival in my past life.'
Hurley added: 'Nipped into Juan les Pins-another old haunt. Memory Lane is a dangerous street; you forget the fights & remember the fun.'
Miss Hurley, 45, looked every inch the model mother as she ditched her trademark bikinis in favour of a billowy white frock as they set out for a stroll.
Also present in St Tropez were Miss Hurley’s husband Arun Nayar and her ex Hugh Grant.
Damian looked overjoyed as he met the actor at the airport, skipping alongside him on the way to Sir Elton John’s villa, where they are staying.

She added: ‘Nipped into Juan les Pins – another old haunt. Memory Lane is a dangerous street; you forget fights and remember the fun.’
