She spends every night dancing her socks off to Billy Hayley and Jerry Lee Lewis songs from the 1950s.

But Roxanne Pallett got to choose her own playlist recently as she took to the decks during a club night out in London.

The actress is currently starring in the UK tour of the musical Rock Around The Clock, and she and some of her fellow cast mates decided to let off some steam on a night out in central London.

The 27-year-old donned a short school skirt and thigh-high stockings which she teamed with an semi-buttoned white shirt and loose tie, as she hit the dance floor at the club night, which takes place at the Portland Girls' School, Great Portland Street.

She and her cast mates had just finished the tour's dates in Woking, Surrey on July 31 and decided to celebrate the end of the run at the club.

And in no time at all, Roxanne was recognised and invited on stage to play some songs to the crowd.

School Disco was first launched in 1999 and has been held at many different venues across London ever since, before recently moving to Portland Girls' School.

The music played is traditionally tune that would have been played at real school discos over the past 30 years, and all clubgoers attending the night must wear school uniform.

Roxanne is still touring with Rock Around The Clock, which finished a run in Blackpool yesterday and moves on to Birmingham this week for two dates at the Alexandra Theatre.

The Rock Around The Clock tour will then travel to Stoke, Bristol, Shrewsbury, Bromley, Buxton and Tunbridge Wells before finishing in Coventry on September 18.

But there will be no rest for Roxanne - she will then be joining the cast of the Vagina Monologues straight after as that tours the UK, and she won't finish until December.
