Oops! Fearne Cotton makes a fashion faux pas as she flashes price stickers on her shoes

By Georgina Littlejohn

Rookie mistake: Fearne Cotton arrives for work at Radio One this morning... and shows her fashion faux pas after leaving the price stickers on the soles of her shoes

Every woman knows that the first thing you do before wearing a brand new pair of shoes is to remove the tags from the soles.

Something that Fearne Cotton forgot to do as she arrived for work this morning in a pair of black heels - that still displayed their price stickers.

The presenter was snapped walking into Radio One wearing waist-high powder-blue trousers, her t-shirt paying homage to punk star Siouxsie Soux tucked in them.

The offending tickets: Fearne wears her brand new shoes, still with the price tags on

But it was her black shoes boots that drew the most attention as she flashed the price tickets on the soles as she made her way inside the radio studios in central London this morning.

Not that Fearne, 28, seemed to care as she walked past the cameras, seemingly oblivious to their presence.

Maybe Fearne was in a hurry when she left home this morning and put them on without thinking.

Or, like many of us girls, was so excited about her new footwear that she had to wear them right there and then out of the shop.

She was carrying a trendy shopper bag with her initial emblazoned on the front.

Fearne, who presents Radio One's weekday mid-morning programme after taking over from long-time host Jo Whiley last September, is also getting set to present a TV show for Sky 1from this Sunday.

Called Must Be The Music, the show is set to take on the X Factor in the talent show stakes.

It intends to find the next music talent, whether a solo star or a band and of any age, with auditions in Edinburgh, Manchester and London.

The act will perform their own songs and the winner will receive £100,000 towards their music career.

Fearne said: 'You can't enter this show unless you've got musical talent. You can't just come and sing someone else's song quite well.

'It's about people who are obsessed with music and making amazing sounds. Viewers won't believe the level of talent - amazing bands, musicians, rappers, singers, the lot. I've been blown away.'

She will join forces with singers Jamie Cullum and Sharleen Spiteri and rapper Dizzee Rascal to host the programme.
