Chace Crawford gets the Gossips talking as he leaves club with FOUR ladies

West End boy: Chace Crawford leaves Mahiki nightclub after spending the night surrounded by young females

It was only 24 hours ago that Hollywood heart-throb Chace Crawford was expressing his desire for an English girlfriend on GMTV.

But as he partied in London last night, it appeared the Gossip Girl star had found not one, but four female companions to keep him company.

After attending the premiere of British thriller The Heavy in Leicester Square, the baseball cap-clad actor spent the rest of the night surrounded by women at Mahiki nightclub in Mayfair.

As he decided to call it a night in the early hours of this morning, the 24-year-old left the club with two brunette and two blondes in a taxi.

His late night out came after Crawford lamented his single status on the GMTV sofa.

The actor, who was recently romantically linked to model Jennifer Akerman, said he found it difficult to meet women who weren't just interested in his fame.

He said: 'It is tough. You get a bit wary.

'I'm not really coming home crying every night but it makes it a little bit trickier to trust. Maybe I'll resort back to Texas… or maybe an English girl.'

Mystery females: Two of Crawford's companions

Despite being single, Crawford admitted he didn't mind being without a girlfriend because his social life was so busy in New York.

He explained: 'I'm 24 and in New York City so I'm not exactly coming home every night plucking the violin strings. But when it happens, it happens.'

Meanwhile, Crawford was recently forced to pull out of the musical remake of Footloose after scheduling conflicts with Gossip Girl.

The actor, who plays Manhattan rich kid Nate Archibald in the hit TV show, was set to reprise the role of Ren McCormack, made famous by Kevin Bacon in the 1984 classic.

Crawford's next big screen role will be in the new movie Twelve, which also stars rapper 50 Cent and Kiefer Sutherland.

The Texan star plays a teenage drug dealer in the adaptation of the novel by Nick McDonell.

50 Cent admitted he was stunned by the amount of screaming female fans attracted to the set of the film last year.

He said: 'I made a fool of myself the first day shooting. I got to my trailer and I saw this huge crowd of girls screaming.

'I stopped and was kind of having a moment. Then I turned around, and Chace was behind me, and that’s who they were freaking out for. I remember thinking, "What kind of bulls**t is this?"'
