Taxi! Kate Moss takes her black cab for a spin in the Cotswolds

Hardly a Chelsea tractor: Kate Moss takes her black cab for a spin in the Cotswolds, where she has a holiday home

Perhaps the Roller is having a service.

Or maybe Kate Moss is looking to supplement her multimillion-pound supermodel earnings with a little extra pin money.

But either way, she surprised locals in the Cotswolds yesterday as she went for a spin round the country lanes in her black cab.

After trips already to Peru and Paris earlier this month, the 36-year-old is holidaying yet again at her Oxfordshire holiday home with rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince and friend Fran Cutler.

For her break in the country, Moss decided to drive her £35,000 black cab, which was gift from a group of friends for her 34th birthday

But she has so far resisted the urge to take the Knowledge - not that it would have been much use to her out in the wilds.

Moss has been a regular visitor to the Cotswolds since buying her £2million, ten-bedroom Grade II-listed mansion in a village near the town of Lechlade in 2004.

This summer, it looks like Moss will be doing some improvements to the estate after applying for planning permission to turn an old grain store on her land into a guest house.

Meanwhile, Kevin Spacey laughed off reports he was casting Moss in an Old Vic production of The Tempest.

Moss has enjoyed several small roles in Little Britain Live and Blackadder but her acting efforts haven't impressed the American actor, who is artistic director at the South Bank theatre.

He said: 'Great to hang with Kate Moss last week but not sure where stories of her treading boards at the Old Vic came from. Not a grain of truth in it.'
